PARTSMAP Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 21, 2026. Version 2026-10-21.
1. The short version
- PARTSMAP is a business-to-business directory and map of automotive parts and service companies. It is run by 9D Industries LLC ("we", "us"). It is for businesses and the people who work for them. It is not a consumer service, and it is not for anyone under 18.
- Most of what we handle is business information: company names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, general business email addresses like info@ or sales@, and what a business sells or services. Some of it comes from companies themselves and some we gather from public sources. People's names and work contact details also show up in business records, for example the person who registers a company.
- We don't sell personal data. We use it to run and improve our services and data. We don't show third-party ads on PARTSMAP, and we don't use ad trackers or third-party analytics tags.
- When a company registers, its representative ticks two separate required boxes: one agreeing to the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, and one confirming they're authorized to act for the company and giving PARTSMAP permission to feature the company in its marketing. We record each box as its own consent record and keep those records as proof of the agreement, including after the account is closed.
- Companies keep ownership of their content. The marketing permission is a condition of using PARTSMAP, and there's no switch in settings to turn it off. To opt out, email legal@9dindustries.com to ask for a separate agreement, or close your account. Opting out applies going forward only.
- We never delete or deactivate an account on our own, including when a free trial ends. Your account stays open until you close it or ask us to.
- Depending on where you live, privacy laws give you rights to see, correct, or delete your personal data and to opt out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising. The marketing permission doesn't limit those rights. You can use them any time by emailing legal@9dindustries.com.
2. Who we are and what this covers
PARTSMAP is operated by 9D Industries LLC, a Nevada limited liability company, 3400 Paradise Rd #88, Las Vegas, NV 89169.
This policy covers the PARTSMAP websites and apps, including the company registration page, the signed-in PARTSMAP app, and the business directory data we keep. It doesn't cover other websites or services we link to. Those have their own policies.
The Terms of Service explain the permissions companies give us for their content. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we give it to, and the choices and rights you have.
3. Information we collect
Company registration
When someone registers a company to list on PARTSMAP, we collect:
- Company details: legal name, trade name (optional), street address, city, state or region, postal code, country, website (optional), company email address, and company phone number (optional).
- Authorized representative: the name, job title, email address, and phone number (optional) of the person registering, plus their confirmation that they're authorized to act for the company.
- Offer: whether the company registered through a promotion such as our SEMA 2026 offer.
- Review status: where the registration is in our review (received, in review, accepted, or not accepted).
Registering doesn't require a payment card, and we don't collect payment details at registration.
Consent records
Registration has two separate boxes. Both are required and neither is ticked in advance:
- "I agree to the PARTSMAP Terms of Service and Privacy Policy."
- "I'm authorized to act for this company, and I agree PARTSMAP may feature our company name, logo, and listings in its promotions."
For each box we keep a separate record of the exact wording shown, the version of the Terms in force, the date and time it was accepted, and the IP address and browser user agent it was submitted from.
If you later opt out under a separate agreement, or close your account, we record that too, with its date.
Your Content
"Your Content" means what a company provides to PARTSMAP: its company name, trade names, logos, trademarks, photos, product and parts listings, business details, and other listing data, as defined in the Terms of Service. This includes content you tag PARTSMAP in or send to PARTSMAP's social accounts while you have an account.
Account and app information
If you sign in to the PARTSMAP app as a customer, we collect:
- Account details: your email address and name, your organization and your role in it, and your sign-in method. On our hosted service you sign in with Google. Google tells us your verified email address and basic profile information, and we never see your Google password.
- What you tell us about your business: what you sell (products, brands, vehicle makes, services, and the types of customers you want to reach) and the preferences you set to rank and filter results.
- Your work in the app: companies you save, CRM stages, tags, notes and follow-ups, how a lead was found (for example search, recommendation, or import), contact reveals, exports, and reports.
- Feedback you send: bug reports, data-quality reports, missing-company reports, and ideas, including the page you were on.
- Messages: anything you send us by email, for example to legal@9dindustries.com.
Information we collect automatically
- Security and usage records: when you use the app, we record security and access events such as sign-ins, unusual activity, and large or rapid searches, reveals, or exports. These records include the date and time, the page or action, and a hashed form of your IP address and browser user agent. In these records we store hashes, not the raw values. Consent records are different: they keep the IP address and user agent, as described above.
- Usage meters: counts of company views, reveals, and exports per account, so we can apply plan limits.
- Rate limiting: to stop abuse, we count requests from each network address over a short window. For company registration the limit is 5 an hour. The counter is keyed to a hashed form of the IP address and is pruned regularly.
- Hosting and network logs: our hosting and security providers (see section 7) process IP addresses and request data to deliver the site and block attacks, and they may keep standard server logs.
- Cookies and browser storage: see section 8.
Business information we gather ourselves
To build the directory, we also collect information about automotive businesses from sources other than the businesses themselves:
- Open and government data: OpenStreetMap (ODbL; "Business location data from OpenStreetMap contributors"), and public business license and business registry records, such as the City of Los Angeles active-business listing and Nevada state and local business license records. We add a government source only after checking that its terms permit retention and commercial use.
- Official business websites: public facts a business publishes on its own website, such as its phone number, general business email address, services, vehicle makes, brands, and product categories. We use web search results only to find a business's official website. The facts themselves come from that website.
- Manual entry and user submissions: information our team adds, and corrections or missing-company reports from customers.
We don't buy data from data brokers or paid data providers.
What we gather is about businesses: names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, licenses, and what they sell or service. When we collect email addresses automatically from websites, we keep only general role addresses (like info@, sales@, or parts@) and discard addresses that look personal. Some business records still identify a person, for example a sole proprietor whose business is named after them, a contact name listed in a public record, or a named contact our team added. Section 6 explains how those people can ask us to correct or remove that information.
We don't collect precise location from your device, and we don't collect sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or health information.
4. How we use information
We use information:
- to run PARTSMAP: building and showing the directory and map, matching and ranking businesses against what a customer sells, and providing the app's search, CRM, report, reveal, and export features
- to review company registrations and check that a company and its representative are who they say they are
- to set up, run, and support your account, and to communicate with you about it, including trial reminders
- to keep PARTSMAP secure, enforce plan limits, and prevent fraud, scraping, account sharing, and abuse
- to keep the directory accurate, including acting on corrections and removal requests
- to keep a record of the agreements and consents you give us, so we can show what was agreed, by whom, and when
- to promote, market, and advertise PARTSMAP and 9D Industries LLC using Your Content, as described in section 5
- to fix problems, understand in aggregate how PARTSMAP is used, and improve it
- to improve, check, and enrich our data and services, including matching and verifying business records, improving search and recommendations, and creating de-identified or aggregated data and insights
- to meet legal obligations and to establish or defend legal claims
5. Company listings and marketing permission
You own your content. Companies keep full ownership of Your Content, including their names, logos, and trademarks.
What the permission covers. When a company registers and accepts the Terms of Service, it gives 9D Industries LLC a license to host and display Your Content to run PARTSMAP. It also gives 9D Industries LLC and its affiliates permission to use Your Content (its company name, logos, trademarks, photos, listings, and business details) to promote, market, and advertise PARTSMAP, 9D Industries LLC, and their products, services, and events. The second registration box records this permission. Promotions may appear on our websites and apps, on social media, in paid ads, in email and print, in video, and at events. The full license, and how long it lasts, is in the Terms of Service.
Who receives it. To run a promotion, we give the content it features to the platform that shows it and to service providers who help us make and deliver it. We sublicense Your Content only to platforms and service providers that help us publish or promote our content.
It's a condition of using PARTSMAP. The marketing permission is part of using PARTSMAP, and there's no switch in settings to turn it off.
Opting out. This doesn't affect your privacy rights under the law, such as asking to see, correct, or delete your personal data, or opting out of the sale or sharing of personal data and targeted advertising. You can still use those rights as described in section 13. To opt out of the marketing permission, you have two options:
- email legal@9dindustries.com to ask for a separate agreement, which we may offer, decline, or offer on different terms, or
- stop using PARTSMAP and close your account.
Either way, opting out applies going forward only. We'll stop starting new marketing uses of Your Content within 30 days. Anything already published, scheduled, printed, or in distribution before then can stay up and keep running.
Your account stays open until you close it. We never close, deactivate, or delete an account on our own, including an inactive one or one whose free trial has ended. When a SEMA 2026 trial ends, the account stays open on Free Listing, and we'll never charge you unless you pick a paid plan and enter payment details yourself. Your information and the permissions in the Terms stay in effect until you close your account or ask us at legal@9dindustries.com to close it.
Records. We record each consent when it's given, with the date and time, the wording and Terms version shown, and the IP address and browser user agent, and we record any opt-out or closure with its date. We keep these records as described in section 10.
6. People in business records
Business records include information about people: the authorized representative who registers a company, staff contacts a company gives us, and names or work contact details in public business records.
- Authorized representatives and staff contacts. We use their names, titles, and work contact details to review the registration, manage the company's account, and contact the company. We don't publish a representative's personal contact details in the public directory.
- People named in publicly sourced business information. If information about you appears in PARTSMAP because of a business you own or work for, you can ask us to correct it, or to remove or suppress your personal details. Email legal@9dindustries.com with the business name, the details you want changed, and how we can reach you. We may keep a minimal record of a suppression request so the information isn't added back the next time our sources are refreshed.
- Businesses that didn't register. A business listed from public sources can ask us to correct its listing or remove it from the directory at the same address, or through the "Remove / opt out my business" link in the footer of every page (support@9dindustries.com).
- How fast. We handle corrections, removals and opt-outs within 2 business days (10 at most), and we add a removed listing to a suppression list so it isn't added back the next time our sources are refreshed.
These requests are available to everyone, whatever state you live in, and they don't depend on whether a company has an account.
7. Who we give information to
Service providers
We use service providers to run PARTSMAP. They process information for us under contracts and only to provide their services:
- Vercel: website and app hosting
- Supabase: database and sign-in (authentication), including account emails sent by Supabase Auth
- Cloudflare: security, bot protection, and network delivery
- Google: sign-in, when you choose to sign in with Google
- Anthropic (an AI provider): to classify public business website text, for example what services a business offers. This text comes from public websites, not from customer accounts.
PARTSMAP customers
Customers who use the app can see directory information about businesses, including addresses, phone numbers, websites, and general business contact points. Within their plan's limits, they can reveal contact points and export lists. Reveals and exports are limited to business-level contact points, such as general business email addresses (like info@ or sales@) and main business phone lines, and don't include named individuals' contact details. Exports are marked so that a leaked file can be traced to the account that made it. A listing a company provides is shown to PARTSMAP users and, where a listing is public, to the public.
Platforms that show PARTSMAP promotions
The platforms that show our promotions, and the service providers who help make and deliver them, receive the Your Content those promotions feature (see section 5).
Legal reasons and business transfers
We may disclose information when the law requires it, to protect the rights, safety, or property of PARTSMAP, our users, or others, or to establish or defend legal claims. If 9D Industries LLC or PARTSMAP is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer to the successor, which must honor this policy for information collected under it.
Selling and sharing
We don't sell your personal data. We use it to run and improve our services and data. We also don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising, and we don't give advertising platforms your email address or other account details to target ads.
If we ever wanted to start, we would update this policy first, describe what would be shared and with whom, and honor every opt-out already recorded, including Global Privacy Control signals.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
PARTSMAP uses a small number of first-party cookies and browser storage that the service needs to work:
- Sign-in cookies (Supabase Auth cookies, or
pm_sessionin test environments) to keep you signed in - `pm_staff` to confirm a second sign-in check for our own staff
- `pm_gate` to remember that a visitor entered the access password while PARTSMAP is in private beta
- Browser storage (
localStorage) to remember your light or dark theme
We don't use advertising cookies, and we don't embed third-party advertising or analytics tags.
9. Automated systems
PARTSMAP uses automated systems to classify businesses (for example what they sell or service), check data quality, rank businesses for customers, and detect abuse such as scraping or account sharing. These systems score businesses as sales prospects. They don't make decisions about individuals that have legal or similarly significant effects. Abuse detection can limit or suspend access to an account, and you can contact us to have a person review that.
10. How long we keep information
- Company registrations and account information: while the account is open. We never delete or deactivate accounts on our own, so this lasts until you close your account or ask us to close it. After closure, we delete or de-identify account information within 90 days, except as listed below.
- Consent records (each registration box, with its wording, Terms version, date and time, and IP address and user agent, and any opt-out or closure record): kept after the account is closed, because they are the record of an agreement and we may need them to establish or defend a legal claim.
- Your Content already used in marketing: copies already published, scheduled, printed, or in distribution before an opt-out or closure can stay up, as described in section 5.
- Directory information from public sources: while it's relevant and accurate, refreshed and corrected over time. Suppression records are kept so removed details aren't added back.
- Privacy requests and opt-out records: as long as needed to show we handled them, as privacy law requires.
- Security, access, and abuse records: for 90 days for security and fraud prevention. Rate-limit counters are pruned on a rolling basis.
- Backups: overwritten on a rolling schedule of 30 days.
- De-identified or aggregated information that no longer identifies anyone may be kept.
11. Closing your account
To close your account, email legal@9dindustries.com or support@9dindustries.com from an address associated with the account. We may ask you to confirm you're authorized to act for the company.
Closing your account doesn't immediately or necessarily remove:
- consent records, which we keep as described in section 10
- privacy request and opt-out records we must keep to show compliance
- security, fraud-prevention, and access records, for their retention period
- records we're legally required to keep
- Your Content already published, scheduled, printed, or in distribution, which the Terms of Service let us keep using
- business facts about your company that we gather from public sources (you can ask us to correct or remove them; see section 6)
- information customers have already exported, which they hold under their own responsibility
- backups, until they're overwritten
- de-identified or aggregated information
12. Security
We protect information with database row-level security, so the directory and other customers' private data can't be read from a browser. We also use server-side permission checks, rate limiting, hashed security logs, append-only consent records, HTTPS, and watermarked exports. Staff access requires an extra sign-in step. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us at legal@9dindustries.com if you think something is wrong.
13. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and other U.S. states with privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- know and access the personal data we hold about you, and get a copy in a portable format
- correct inaccurate personal data
- delete personal data, subject to legal exceptions (for example, we keep consent records as proof of an agreement)
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data, targeted advertising, and certain profiling
- limit the use of sensitive personal information (we don't collect any)
- appeal a decision we make about your request
We don't sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising, but you can still record an opt-out with us in advance, and we'll keep it.
These rights are separate from the marketing permission. The marketing permission in the Terms covers how we may use a company's content in our marketing. It doesn't limit or replace any of your legal privacy rights, and using a privacy right doesn't depend on a separate agreement. Using a privacy right doesn't end a company's marketing permission either. That works as described in section 5.
How to make a request. Email legal@9dindustries.com. We'll acknowledge your request, verify your identity where the law allows us to (we don't require verification for an opt-out), and respond within the time the law sets, usually 45 days. Corrections, removals and opt-outs of a business listing are handled faster: within 2 business days (10 at most), as section 6 says. If we deny a request, we'll explain why and how to appeal. You can appeal by replying to our decision or emailing the same address, and if you're still not satisfied, you can contact your state attorney general.
Authorized agents. You can use an authorized agent to make a request. We may ask the agent for proof of authorization and ask you to confirm directly.
No discrimination. We won't treat you or your company worse for using a privacy right.
Global Privacy Control
PARTSMAP honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or extension sends it, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising for that browser and, if you're signed in, for your account.
14. Children
PARTSMAP is a business service for people 18 and older. It's not directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we'll delete it. If you think a child has given us information, contact legal@9dindustries.com.
15. Where information is processed
PARTSMAP is operated from the United States, and the directory covers U.S. businesses. Information is processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. This policy is written for users in the United States.
16. Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy as PARTSMAP changes. The "Last updated" date and version are shown at the top, and we keep previous versions. For a material change, we'll give notice in the product and, where we can, by email before it takes effect.
